Young Life Crisis

Yes! Young life crisis, even though everyone only talks about mid-life crisis, There has to be a term to describe what I’m feeling now and what some, if not most, of my age group feels at this point in our lives.

‘What on earth am I here for?’ that’s pretty much what has been going through my head for the past couple of years but has intensified these past few weeks lol and finally, thanks to God, I’m finally getting a grasp of what I was created for and the good news is I know what everyone was created for…yeah you heard me, I know why everyone was created…we were all created to LOVE! I know you were expecting some grand plan for why you were created and all but once you understand you were created to love as your primary and most important purpose you will get a revelation or should I say epiphany on your secondary purpose and assignment on earth.

You see we were ALL created for a unique and beautiful purpose but at the end of the day we were all created to serve each other, Imagine if Benjamin franklin had not invented electricity or if our founding fathers hadn’t advocated for our independence, (even though some people feel like we were given independence too early) the common characteristic is that they did it for the greater good of people, they didn’t do it for selfish reasons, they did it to share it with people and to serve them. The funny thing is if these people did not fulfil their dreams someone else would have, if you don’t do what you’re called to do, the world would not wait for us, God would simply give the assignment to someone else because God will always take care of His people and whether you want to be a part of that process or not is up to you.

The worst part of this phase is this feeling of time just passing you by, fear of not being accomplished, and in this world where you aren’t respected unless you have a fat bank account, the pressure is real! Everyone just wants to be successful whether good success or bad success.

The problem now is, how do I find my calling? What’s the next step from here forward? How do I even start even if I know? The answer simple is TRUST GOD! The God that has brought you this far will surely see you through, Philippians 1:6 says ‘Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ’.

You can’t be fulfilled in life without doing what God has created you for, no matter how much you earn and where you work if you’re not doing what you were you designed for you would not have that happiness and fulfilment and when your life is almost over you would only look back and regret. I highly recommend this book “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren,

The purpose driven Life. Newest edition

it’s a very insightful book and it’s such an inspirational book from God using the author as His vessel.  That’s my greatest want in life, to fulfil God’s purpose for my life.

  1. I fall into this category of being clueless, but I’ve come to a realisation that no matter how much I worry or think, it’s not the way forward. One should just pray for direction and the more you focus on God you will realise the purpose of you being here.

    1. Lool! There’s an extent to what you can do in public places, apart from making the decision yourself it’s also very important for your partner to make the same decision to make it easier
